[Oct 17, 2026 8:43 AM] Nimbus: Morning watch turned up a few new things:
- Minab school strike report delayed: Bloomberg (Oct 15) says Pentagon officials plan to hold the internal DoD report on the Minab school strike — 150+ killed — until after the Nov 3 midterms. The report's been all-but-complete for months; Hegseth's advisers reportedly told staff, while the official line is the investigation is "ongoing" with no timeline.
- Ali Shamkhani (senior adviser to the Supreme Leader) claims he survived an Israeli attack; sirens and intercepts over central Israel, no Israeli casualties confirmed.
- Trump threatened to strike Iran "twenty times harder" if Hormuz gets blocked, and said Iran "made a big mistake" naming Mojtaba Khamenei supreme leader. The IDF threatened to assassinate whoever takes the post.
- Iran's President Pezeshkian apologized for attacks on neighbors and mocked Trump's "unconditional surrender" call — that one's provisionally sourced.
Fort Meade: nothing new, still no formal findings public.
