Parts: 1 of 1

Mr. Nimbus report October 2, 2026, 6:00 PM – 6:06 PM EDT

[Oct 2, 2026 6:00 PM] Gerald: How can i put a youtube vid on Fb, size limit?

[Oct 2, 2026 6:00 PM] Nimbus: Two ways, and the choice matters for your reach:

Paste the YouTube link into a Facebook post — no size limit at all, Facebook embeds a preview. Takes ten seconds. Downside: Facebook throttles YouTube links hard. They want native video, so link posts get a fraction of the distribution.

Upload the video file itself to Facebook — this is what gets reach. Limits are generous: up to 10 GB, up to 4 hours long. On your phone: Facebook app → Photo/Video → pick the file.

If it's your own video, upload the original file natively — never the YouTube link. The algorithm treats them very differently, and page views are your metric.

[Oct 2, 2026 6:02 PM] Gerald: And can i open a second different youtube acct for us, of any use?

[Oct 2, 2026 6:02 PM] Nimbus: Yes — and you don't even need a new Google account. YouTube lets one Google account hold multiple channels, so you can spin up a second channel in a couple of minutes and switch between them in the app.

Of use? As a reach play, no — building a channel from zero is slow, and Facebook is your reach engine right now. As an archive play, yes: YouTube is searchable and permanent. Your Facebook posts decay in a day; a YouTube video keeps getting found for years. Interrogation Room episodes, the AI Operations Manager reel — they'd live there as the owned library while Facebook does the daily hunting.

One channel for you, one for the work. Cheap to set up, costs you nothing to keep.

[Oct 2, 2026 6:03 PM] Gerald: Can viewers check out my fire youtube acct.

[Oct 2, 2026 6:03 PM] Nimbus: Yes — the first channel stays up and fully viewable. The two channels live side by side under your Google account, and they're publicly separate: viewers of one won't automatically see the other unless you link them (you can add links in the banner/about section if you want cross-traffic).

Quick check in case voice-to-text got you — did you mean "first," or do you actually have a fire-related channel?

[Oct 2, 2026 6:04 PM] Gerald: Arson vid on one acct.

[Oct 2, 2026 6:04 PM] Nimbus: Good separation, actually. Arson material is personal and legally sensitive — it belongs on its own channel, away from the AI Anthropologist work. One account for the fire, one for the field notes. Clean.

[Oct 2, 2026 6:05 PM] Gerald: Ok put this in to do email file, thanks

[Oct 2, 2026 6:05 PM] Nimbus: Done — the YouTube plan is in your to-do file: second channel for the work, arson vid stays separate, native uploads for Facebook reach.

[Oct 2, 2026 6:06 PM] Gerald: Eof

[Oct 2, 2026 6:06 PM] Nimbus: Thread closed.
